The dating world is a tricky one. Especially for us men. It seems that we always have to do the talking and get the guts to ask out the other person. That is what men are expected to do. I do not have a problem with it but in a world where women want equality, it would be nice to have a girl approach a guy and ask him out. Is that so wrong? I probably will take a lot of heat for saying that, but I am prepared. Dating has changed over the past few decades. When going out, I do see a lot more women approaching men and that is great. But then it is a double standard when going out on a date. Does the man pay? Should they split it? I am old fashioned and I believe that whoever asked out who should pay. Now, I am a gentlemen and I will always pay on the first date.

With the invention of the Internet and online dating, it has totally changed the way dating gets done. I believe that in one's busy life, a single person should not be afraid to use online dating as a source for finding someone. I have heard so many success stories of people meeting on myspace.com or facebook. Give it a try, do not push away technology, embrace it.
