Christian singles of all ages are all over, the trick is finding them. When you're single, like me, and you're at a point in your life when you not only want to meet other Christian singles, but single men, then it can be frustrating when everyone you know is married. However, if you're part of a bigger church it's easier to find fellow singles, both men and women.

Now more than ever, bigger churches are utilizing technology to not only reach their congregation, but others in their community as well as the world. There are several ways they do this, most notably is the internet. My church uses one of the social networking sites to stay connected with people in the church. A number of the ministries have pages there. One of the ministries I'm a member is the singles group. Now granted, so far I haven't been able to do anything with them, as I always seem to either have plans with family or friends. But it's nice being part of this Christian singles group. They send out invitations when they make plans and we can click whether or not we're going to attend. These events vary in range too, from just a bbq at someone's house to concerts or even bigger events specifically for Christian singles.

It is truly a great way to find and connect with other Christian singles, though. The last time I was a part of a Christian singles group was at an old church. That was back when the internet was still the Arpanet and email was in its infancy. So it was harder to find Christian singles back then. Your only option was word of mouth recommendations about churches. Which is how my friend and I found out about that church. The great thing about the singles group we were in was that we were all the same age, all at some point in college or just graduated. We constantly did things, like our monthly volleyball games, or had movie nights, and various other group wide planned events. Even when there wasn't anything planned as a group, we would get together and go out and do things. It was the best four years of my life.
